I know everyone has seen or tried to do the braided bangs look, but with thin hair my braids always turned out so small and in my opinion, stupid looking, that I always just threw in the towel and gave up. UNTIL NOW! I am going to help you turn your thin small braid from this:
To This:
It's sooo simple and quick too! Ready, set, let's go!
Step 1: Section off the part of your hair that you want to braid, and pin the rest of your hair back to keep it out of the way!
Step 2: Believe it or not, but you are still going to start off with that tiny braid that we all hate so much! Make sure to braid it all the way to the end. Once you have finished braiding, do not secure your hair with a hair tie or bobby pin just yet.
Step 3: And now the fun begins! I saw one girl use the term "Pancaking" for this technique, so we are just going to stick with that. All you do is loosen the braid a bit by lightly pulling two adjacent strands of hair apart. (See video for example).
Step 4: Once you have completed pancaking your braid, pin it back and style the rest of your hair. You could wear your hair straight or curl it and tuck the braid behind your ear, or you could pull the rest of your hair into a ponytail or a bun! Have fun with it :)
Match your new hairstyle with some naturally bold makeup, and a cute outfit and hit the town for the night :)
